Brian Eno

Watch as this legendary musician and artist discusses one of his secrets to being more creative.

For over 50 years, Brian Eno has been at the forefront of artistic creativity, technology, and innovation. He first rose to international prominence in the early seventies with Roxy Music, followed by influential solo work, collaborations, and landmark productions for artists including Talking Heads, Devo, U2, Laurie Anderson, and Coldplay. His extensive collaborative history spans David Bowie, Jon Hassell, Harold Budd, David Byrne, Grace Jones, his brother Roger on Mixing Colours, and Fred Again. His latest music project is with Beatie Wolfe, with their first three albums—Luminal, Lateral, and Liminal—released in 2025.

Brian’s visual experiments with light and video have paralleled his musical career, with exhibitions and installations worldwide. He is also deeply involved in activist work, including the climate charity Earth Percent, and HardArt, both of which he co-founded, as well as the Stop the War coalition. Most recently, he co-organised Together for Palestine, a sold-out fundraising concert held in London in September 2025.

Chance Operations’ Gary Hustwit interviewed Brian extensively for his groundbreaking 2024 generative documentary “Eno.” In this exclusive clip, Brian reveals that the way he starts his day has had a major impact on his creative output.
