Brain One is the custom hardware device that was created in collaboration with maverick multimedia implement makers Teenage Engineering to bring the groundbreaking generative documentary Eno to audiences around the world. As the world’s first generative documentary, every screening of Eno features a wholly unique cut of the film. It’s never the same twice, which is accomplished via bespoke technology that filmmaker Gary Hustwit developed in partnership with creative technologist Brendan Dawes under the name Anamorph. Brain One provides a tactile set of controls for the software that creates the film in real time, bringing the element of live performance to cinema.
Aesthetically inspired by Dieter Rams’ designs for Braun, Brain One has transcended its purpose as an elegant solution for screening Eno to become a mascot for both the film and Anamorph.
This tote features a rendering of the Brain One device on one side and the CO logo on the other.
